Wooton Under Edge

With the original garden sitting on quite a severe and rather dangerous slope (especially in inclement weather), this garden needed to be transformed from an unusable space to one for the client to be truly proud of. Matt from Gloucester Garden Design Company reached out to us to design this space for his client and our first task was to find a solution for the steep gradient.

We created a three tier garden, with the main patio to the rear of the patio, a middle tier which was predominantly filled with planting and a top tier which featured a central water feature, a dining space to the left and a seating space with pergola to the right. With steps to access the tiers located centrally, just like the waterfall, your journey from the rear of the property to the top of the garden is designed to be as easy as possible.

Removing the turf was a decision made by the client so balancing the hard landscaping materials with planting was key to make sure the landscape didn’t look too harsh. Adding Cedar battened fencing to the perimeter complimented the planting and paving perfectly maintaining the perfect balance between nature and materials.
